Assist Workshop Part 2

A key aspect of the Jivamukti practice is hands on assists, which provide yoga practitioners insight into the alignment and energetic components of poses. This workshop is for teachers and practitioners with solid yoga experience who want to deepen their understanding of asana, focusing on the basic techniques of applying safe and practical hands-on and verbal and energetic assistance. Through partner work and the exploration of asana, we learn how to assist and support others while improving our own practice in the process.

This workshop will build on the fundamentals gained in Part I and focus on assists for more challenging poses including inversions and backbends. We highly recommend that you attend Part I if you are a yoga student; you are welcome to attend Part II if you are a yoga teacher who feels comfortable assisting with basic poses.
